ACA Level 3 Coastal Kayak Instructor Cetification Workshop

Date: December 2-6, 2026

Location: Charleston, South Carolina

Join Ashley Brown and David McPherson in beautiful Charleston for a Level 3 ICW like no other. We have warm temperatures, rivers that flow in 2 directions, swift currents, the ocean, and a major shipping harbor.

This hands-on training refines demonstration-quality paddling skills, rescue techniques, group management, problem-solving, and instructional leadership. Through on-water coaching and using available features to learn using tides, weather, and real conditions, participants build confidence, clarity, and instructional competence. 

You may get an Update, Certification, or Experience. We welcome you to join and learn, and let us know your personal goals so we may help you achieve them!

Instruction: $675
Participants must be current members of the American Canoe Association.
Candidates must have a Level 3 skills assessment. Get in touch if you need help getting this done before the ICW.
